Adam Kerr is in his first year as pitching coach for the University of New Brunswick Cougars after a four year playing career with the team. Kerr was the ace of the 2016 pitching staff and an injury-plagued season saw him only throw 10 and 1/3 innings before leading the team to a National Championship berth without allowing a run in the Atlantic Conference playoffs.
Kerr, a Fredericton native, has previously been an assistant coach for his hometown Fredericton Black Kats High School baseball team from 2013-2015. Arm troubles enabled him to provide mentorship to a pitching staff who posted an ERA of 0.917 in 2016.Kerr has been the lead pitching instructor for the UNB baseball camps from 2014-2017.

Isaac Thomas is in his second year as assistant coach for the University of New Brunswick Cougars. He was a key contributor to the Cougars improved fielding percentage and aided in the transition of multiple players to different positions.
Thomas, continuing the Cougar tradition, was named to the coaching staff following a four-year letterman career. An exemplary student and Dean’s List recipient, he provides an unmatched blend of leadership, communication and hard work to the team dynamic.
Thomas has also been the lead fielding instructor at the UNB Baseball camps from 2012-2017

Mark brings a strong league background to the executive having served on both the CIBA and CCBA executives as the Vice President in 2010-2011 and 2014. Mark has participated in several Baseball Canada National Championships throughout his years playing ball in Fredericton, as well as four CIBA National Championships with UNB winning back to back years in 2007 and 2008. His familiarity with the league and experience at different National Championship tournaments brings a diverse look to the executive. A quick overview of Mark’s accomplishments throughout his career is as follows:

Mark MacNevin, Manager
Kevin McCarthy enters his 2nd year as the head coach of the Cougars, after guiding the program to their second consecutive Atlantic Conference Championship. McCarthy’s brilliant track record of player development has paid off for the Cougars Baseball Program in what has proven to be a remarkable turnaround.
McCarthy began his coaching career with UNB as an assistant coach in 2014 and has led the Cougars to four consecutive Canadian Collegiate Baseball Association (CCBA) National Championship appearances. Primarily assisting as a hitting coach there have been steady improvements in the Cougars on-base percentage: .380 in 2014, .432 in 2015 and .472 in 2016.
McCarthy’s ability to communicate offensively, defensively and on the mound, resulted in UNB bolstering itself as the Atlantic Conference’s powerhouse and one of the nation’s most respected teams. He has been one of the lead instructors for the UNB baseball camps since 2009 and continues to give back to the community, more recently being a part of the New Brunswick U15 coaching staff in 2017.
